About Us

WMWM is the official radio station of Salem State College in Salem, Massachusetts. A sactioned activity of, and funded by, the Student Government Association, the station is operated by the students of Salem State College as well as a dedicated staff of volunteers from the surrounding communities.

Operating from studios located in the basement of Ellison Campus Center, WMWM serves not only the campus community but also the surrounding towns of Salem, Beverly, Lynn, Middleton, and Peabody. Our programming is an eclectic and ever changing mix of alternative rock, ethnic, public affairs, sports, and specialty programming.

WMWM operates at a frequency of 91.7 megahertz with a power output of 130,000 millawats (okay, that's 130 watts, but it sounds cooler) from a tower located on top of Meier Hall. Thanks to a dedicated staff, as well as the magic of computers, WMWM has began 24 hour operations in 2005.
